There are 3 main jurisdictions in the Bible: Family, Church, & State. They are all under God.
The family is charged by God to train their children (Deuteronomy 6.4-9). Their instrument of choice is the rod (Proverbs – multiple times). And, yes, for my liberal critics, there are other methods. This method just stands out in the face of Delaware’s rebellion against God.
The Church is the pillar and support of truth (1 Timothy 3.15). The church equips the Christian (supposed to) for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4). It’s instrument of choice is the Keys (Matthew 16.19). It’s method is to perform church discipline (Matthew 18.15-20). It is for drastic situations, in hopes of saving a sinning brother. Note: Post-modernism (There is no absolute truth) is a slam on the effectiveness of the church.
The State only has the authority which is given to it by God (Romans 13.1-4). That authority is to provide justice, not welfare (Deuteronomy 16.20; 1 Peter 2.14). The Constitution is a document of limitations because politicians like re-election. They promise utopia while they pursue a path which excludes God. This will always end in death (Deuteronomy 30.15).
Political-Correctness, Diversity, Multiculturalism, Tolerance, Anti-Discrimination are all current-day ideologies which are irrational and lead to the death of a society. Example: All anti-discrimination laws discriminate against someone. This is irrational. City Councils are meeting regularly to establish laws based on irrational thinking. And we call ourselves an advanced society?
Parents, pastors, and politicians need to take a lesson from the early Americans. They were not post-moderns. They knew that biblical principles must guide them. America prospered. Today’s foundational premise is Political Correctness. This is pluralism… everyone creates his god in his own image. No one can say that another person’s god is stupid and false. This dumbs down society. This is the modern university. Christians pay top dollar to educate their children in pluralism. Society is paying a hefty price for its demise.
