Bible Text: 1 Samuel 16.13-23 | Preacher: Rob Hudelson | Series: The Life of David | David was anointed, and had the Spirit of God come upon him.  Saul was rejected and had the Spirit of God leave him.  One would rise to the top, and the other would sink to the bottom… but this would take time… a considerable amount of time, which might be unexpected and frustrating if we have wrong assumptions about God.  God will make it happen, and until then, grow where you are planted, and be ready to go when you are promoted.
