Bible Text: Hebrews 12.4 | Everyone likes to be surrounded with affirmation.  Hearing that you are not really striving very hard against sin is a real downer, yet that is exactly what the pastor to the Hebrews told them.  I guess he hadn’t yet learned from the 21st century pastors and humanistic social justice warriors that you can’t tell suffering people that they are being soft… yet that is exactly what is conveyed in Hebrews 12.4.  Maybe we all need to heed and adjust our frame of reference to be more biblical?
